The Institution ensures the availability of various kinds of scholarships, free studentships, and concessions to students. The In-charge of the Scholarship Committee is charged with publicizing and soliciting applications and making decisions based on the applicants’ responses. It is also the responsibility of the committee to follow up with recipient(s) to ensure the scholarship(s) awarded is received.
The Government of Meghalaya, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education has been inviting applications for Various Scholarships under Meghalaya Scholarship Scheme every year. The students who are permanent residents in the state of Meghalaya can apply the scholarship. Also, besides the State Government Scholarship, there are Central sector scholarships, UGC/AICTE and others.
Types of Scholarship.
State Schemes.
- Umbrella Scheme for Education of St Children – Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) For St Students – Meghalaya.
- Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for Sc Students-Meghalaya
Central Schemes.
- Scheme of ‘Post-Matric Scholarship’ for Students belonging to the Minority Communities.
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
Eligibility:
- Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
- Annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.
UGC/AICTE Schemes.
ISHAN UDAY – Special Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious students from North Eastern Region.
Eligibility:
- Scoring good percentage in HSSLC Examination or its equivalent.
- Students whose parent’s income not exceeds Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
- Domicile certificate/ PRC.
- For renewals, the annual progress report and continuation of studies will be required to be uploaded/ verified by the concerned Institution.
Others.
- Border Area Scholarship
- Labour Scholarship
- Book Grant etc
(A student shall be eligible for only one scholarship out of all the available Scholarships).

Mandatory Documents Required:
- Tribe/Caste Certificate.
- Income Certificate of the Parents
- Marks sheet
- Fee receipt of the last Academic Year.
- Student Bank Account detail, copy of Pass Book.
- Aadhaar card.
- Students are requested to take the Print out before saving their data and submit to the institution.
