DEPARTMENT: POLITICAL SCIENCE
The Department of Political Science was established in 2009, initially offering only a General Course. In 2017, the department expanded its academic scope by introducing the Honours program for degree students.
During its formative years, the department was managed by part-time faculty members, including Smt. Kyntiewlin Khongwet and Shri. Periousstone Khongthohrem (Dr. Sashankutlang Khongthohrem), whose dedicated efforts were instrumental in supporting students and fostering the department’s growth. The department also acknowledges the valuable contributions of Smt. P. Khongwir, who served from 2010 to 2015, playing a crucial role in its development.
