DEPARTMENT: PHILOSOPHY
The Department of Philosophy was established in 2016, with Shri. Shemphang Tynsong overseeing the introduction of the General Course in Philosophy. A year later, in 2017, the department expanded its academic offerings by introducing the Honours course for degree students.
In 2019, Smt. Bashisha Khongtani was appointed as an Assistant Professor, further strengthening the department. Over time, additional faculty members joined, enhancing the department’s academic environment and contributing to its growth.
