INTERNAL QUALITY ASSESMENT CELL

Riwar College which recently affiliated (Provisional Affiliation) to North-Eastern Hills University is in a nascent stage to achieve its goals and objectives. Since, the authority thought that the college should move ahead in achieving it objectives, they formed the Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) in 2021 to initiate, plan and supervise various activities that are necessary to increase the quality of the education imparted in an institution.

The college IQAC quality policy is for all stakeholders and this policy ensures that all stakeholders, mainly the staff and students involve themselves in all activities of the college during their tenure.

IQAC Objectives

IQAC Responsibilities

1.Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.

2. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for various sections of society.

3. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.

4. The credibility of evaluation procedures.

5. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.

IQAC Functions

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  2. Monitor academic and administrative processes of the college.
  3. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  4. Conduct feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes and take corrective actions.
  5. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  6. Organise of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  7. Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  8. Acts as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  9. Conduct academic and administrative audit.
  10. Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
  11. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
