S.K RIWAR MIHNGI EDUCATION SOCIETY
The S.K. Riwar Mihngi Education Society (S.K.R.M.E.S.) was founded in 2013 by Seng Khasi Riwar Mihngi (Pynursla). Prior to its establishment, the Education Committee of Seng Khasi Riwar Mihngi served as the nodal agency overseeing Seng Khasi schools, college, and other educational institutions.
The primary objective of the Society is to establish, support, and function as the Sponsoring Body and Nodal Agency for the development and welfare of Seng Khasi schools, college, and other institutions. Since its inception, the society has been actively involved in the establishment and managing educational institutions to meet the needs of the community. Currently, the Society supervises and manages various
educational institutions, including a college, a higher secondary school, secondary schools, upper primary schools, and lower primary schools.
The S.K. Riwar Mihngi Education Society is officially registered under the Certificate of Registration of Societies Act XXI of 1860 and the Meghalaya Societies Registration Act XII of 1983. It was granted registration on February 14, 2014, with Registration No. E.16/5/OF 2014/23.
Riwar College, the only Arts College under Seng Khasi Riwar Mihngi, operates under the sponsorship of the S.K. Riwar Mihngi Education Society.
