DEPARTMENT: ENGLISH
Established in 2009, the Department of English is one of the oldest and most esteemed departments of the college. It is supported by a team of dedicated and dynamic faculty members committed to providing students with a strong foundation in English literature. The curriculum encompasses a broad spectrum of texts, authors, poets, dramatists, literary movements, theories, and criticisms, preparing students for advanced studies and research in the field.
In its formative years, the department was successfully managed by Shri. Jeffrey Khonglam (2009–2010), Smt. A. Khongsni (2009–2012), and Shri. Lewanki Challam (2012–2017). A significant milestone was achieved in 2016 when the department introduced the B.A. (Honours) program in English, further enriching its academic offerings.
